No chemistry between Jack and Merritt; he didn't give her his ring and then she found out but we didn't see her go through emotions of what that could have meant and where do things stand now. When Hope Calls. | The first problem was Jack's fake accent (which was not good) and his high speed mumbling of his lines which made most of I believe there were only three musicians on that stage, and yet it sounded like there was a full band supporting him as he sung.

She was originally from Ireland and her accent was authentic and thick. The hero and heroine were not separated in their youth because of a big bitter misunderstanding or lack of communication. Fall Harvest . Yes the scenery was the star and not just the breathtaking kind like the cliffs, but every day Irish scenery too. I really enjoyed this movie and hate to see a rating lower than 8-9 stars. I loved hearing her talk.


As I said at the beginning, I likely will watch this again simply because I loved Patterson and Turner’s chemistry (one of my favorite bits in the movie was in the ring shop where he was silently shaking his head and begging the shopkeeper to keep her mouth shut about the ring he had bought five years earlier). Of course, the scenery in Ireland was beautiful and a nice change from the typical generic Canadian settings. IMO not every great love story needs to be quick and easy - I respected the movie for what it was, and that (for me) was that second chances do come but they must be handled carefully. Other Hallstars are blessed by those connections – namely, Polaha & Jill Wagner, Kavan Smith & Pascale Hutton, and Brennan Elliott & Lacey Chabert. It was no surprise that we both enjoyed this simple little film as our own first trip together was to the beautiful country side of Ireland where the pubs are many and the food hearty and bountiful such as it was in this romantic themed made for TV film. Not worth the watch. They just decided to chase their own career paths.
